Brand Consistency Can Bring you More Revenue
Let’s talk about consistency… and it’s not the kind you think.
That graphic above comes from a Nov 2019 Lucidpress (now named Marq) article. Does 33% more revenue interest you? I know that caught my attention!
But what does it mean to be consistent? Are you thinking that it means you have to post every day, blog every week, or email every week? I don’t know about you, but I struggle (as a soloprenuer) to be consistent in that way.
The good news is that the type of consistency that this statistic is referring to is BRAND consistency. It’s referring to being consistent with how you appear online with both your visuals and voice. Schew…. I feel better knowing that it’s not talking about posting every day.
“A brand is the set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships that, taken together, account for a consumer’s decision to choose one product or service over another.” – Seth Godin
BRAND CONSISTENCY = TRUST
Being consistent with your branding will not only lead to more revenue but it’s the way you can build trust with your audience. There’s a science behind this that I’ll share a little more in the future, but here’s the cliff notes version: Our brains are wired to make connections and see patterns. The more consistent you are with your branding the more your audience will grow to know you, trust you and then be willing to buy from you.
This is one of the reasons why I’m so passionate about creating brand identities. I also LOVE helping show people HOW to use those visual brand identity elements to help show up consistently online, increase the trust of their audience thus increasing their revenue $$
Do you have trouble with this? Do you create content and wonder if it’s really being true to your brand? Comment below and share your questions with me, I would love to address them in upcoming blog posts.
